Fresh Start Surface Solutions LLC ("Fresh Start", "we", "us") operates the website at freshstartsurfaces.com and provides residential and commercial pressure washing services in Jacksonville, NC and the surrounding Eastern North Carolina service area. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or contact us for service, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We are a small, veteran-owned, home-based service business. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

1. What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out our quote request form, send us an email, or call or text us, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the service location (typically a street address or general area), and any details you share about the work you need. If you hire us, we keep a record of the job (date, services performed, total) for invoicing and tax purposes.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic browsing data when you visit, including the pages you view, the date and time, your approximate location (city / region, derived from your IP address), the device and browser you use, and how you arrived at the site (search engine, social link, direct).

Cookies and trackers. Our site uses:

• Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of any Facebook ads we run and to show our ads to people who have visited the site.
• Functional cookies that the site needs to work (for example, remembering whether you have opened a mega-menu).

Photos taken on the job. We sometimes take before-and-after photos of work we perform. We use these on our website, social media, and in marketing materials to show prospective customers what we do. If you do not want photos of your property used this way, tell us before the job and we will not publish them. Photos never include identifying information about you (no addresses, license plates, or family members).

2. How we use it

• Payment processors when you pay for a job (we do not store full credit card numbers ourselves).

We do not sell personal information to anyone for any reason.

What we collect. When you sign up for our text messages, we may collect:

• Name: optional, but helps us personalize our messages.

• Send you updates about your quote and service by text, including quote follow-ups, appointment scheduling and reminders, arrival and job-complete notices, invoices, and requests to review our work.

Who we share it with. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes, and no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Children. Our text messages are not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

5. Your choices

• Decline cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Functional cookies may stop the site from working as expected.
• Opt out of Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Opt out of Facebook ads. Use Facebook's ad preferences to control what ads you see.
• Stop text messages. Reply STOP to any text from us. See section 4 and our SMS Terms and Conditions.
• Request your data or deletion. Email info@freshstartsurfaces.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will keep the minimum records needed to meet tax and legal requirements (typically seven years for invoices).
• Marketing photos. Tell us before or after a job if you do not want your property's photos used; we will not publish them and will remove any already posted.

6. Children's privacy

Our services are for adults who own or manage property. We do not market to, or knowingly collect information from, children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention

Quote requests that do not turn into jobs are kept for up to 12 months in case you come back. Invoices and job records are kept for seven years to comply with tax and accounting requirements. Marketing analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics by default.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect the information we hold. The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted securely. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page, update the "Last updated" date at the top, and, where appropriate, notify you by email. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
